what type of wood do you need and how much did it cost.

regular 2x4's. I used scrap wood, so the wood didnt cost anything. I only have about $20.00 in screws and the time taken to put it all together.

AWESOME!

how do they stay on the track thingy tho???
JonasMusic24 2 years ago
screw together 2 2x4's so they look like a really fat and short "L". Space them apart so the vertical 2x4 loosely rubs on the inside of the wheel. Just like a train track, as long as your spacing is right, the wagon wheels can't get off track.

Dude, how long did it take to make that? I'm kind of planning on making my own coaster, so I want to have a time frame set.

All major development happened in about 6 hours. Since then I have maybe another 30 hours in adjustments and modifications.
The start is a box-crate that we jsut flipped upside down, and then at each junction of 2x4's, we just screwed together a quick support leg (and anchored it to the fence on the other side).
