A group from Santa Clara First Baptist Church went to the New Orleans area in August 2006 through Operation Blessing to gut homes affected by Hurricane Katrina
Many thanks to all of you who volunteered your time!! You have been an absolute blessing in our time of despair and hopelessness in our efforts to recover for the past 20 months! It's hard to believe that many of us are still praying to wake up from this nightmare & have a place to call home again! Although, FEMA will begin kicking us out of FEMA trailers & apartments on May 1,2007, leaving many homeless again while basic needs & vital infrastructure remain unrestored!
Operation Blessing!! Oh man good times. But it's so sad to see that there is still so much to fix and repair. A group of us were there just a couple weeks ago. What an amazing, life changing experience.
