@TheSiMoN797 You certainly speak like you're 14. Ficus have been established as perfectly viable bonsai in the U.S. and throughout the world. Tropical bonsai have different soil needs than a black pine, for example. 100% akadama may not be as suitable for tropical trees.

Not a bad video. The only concern I have is that you are really pressing that soil down into the pot. The reason people use chopsticks is so that they can get the soil between the roots without packing it. By packing it down like you are doing your bonsai is going to get less oxygen and will probably not grow as well as at would otherwise. Otherwise, nice little starter you've got there.

would have been better to video the reflection in the window rather than your left hand.
that really is not the way to repot it can kill the plant!!! only take like 20% of the roots

@soxnes Tropicals like ficus can take heavy root pruning during the growing season. Repotting/working the roots while the tree is dormant may lead to mixed results. The "no more than 20%" applies more to trees like Chinese elm, etc.
