@Valmarith I find it hard to believe that vitro meat or any kind of specially grown foods in that manner would be good inthe long run. If you look at the little knowledge and facts we have currently, i.e. fish farms and Kobe beef vs. other methods, you might wonder how pushing that even further could potentially be detrimental to our overall well being. I do agree that the culture was much worse.
*grin* The world I would create would have much of the technology, but little of the culture.
In vitro meat and vat grown foods would eliminate hunger, humanity would be made completely sustainable, disease would be all but eliminated (provided technology allowed it), and human life spans would be extended into centuries.
The rest though, I leave that to the imaginings of sci-fi writers, people often fear the worst possible outcomes.
