  • Nobody has ever been as cool as Alan Ladd . He invented it ! Such a nice guy !

  • (Continued from below.) What a terrible loss and heartbreak, even for those of us who personally did not know him. What a terrible loss for the world at having such a great talent cut off from ever greater accomplishments. Rest in peace the one who will always be Shane to me, with that warm smile and that golden hair.

  • What can I say that has not already been said about Alan Ladd, but I still have to try.A great actor, a good athlete, a proud, fine father and family man.He was a loyal friend. A total professional who never let turmoil or inner darkness touch his responsibility to his craft, fellow actors, movie or performance obligations. He was always kind, courteous and a real man, with the honor that word implies. The only flaw in his life was his failure to be able to overcome enough to live. What a terrible

  • nice tribute to alan ladd he was a fine actor by the way thats. betty grable singing acco. by her then husband harry james

  • Great song choice! I loved him in OSS and Whispering Smith.

  • He was the best, and I still watch his movies whenever I can.

  • A pleasure, thank you!

    Especially the swimming pool.

    Love Alan Ladd!

  • What a shame. All the beautiful people of that era are gone. They produced some great entertainment for so many. Alan Ladd and Dorothy Lamour were outstanding players and nobody today comes anywhere near the sincere approach they made in acting and singing. Too bad they were on the stage for us for too short a time. The music from the 30's and 40's is the best music ever.
