What could you have in common with Picasso and Rembrandt
PRINTMAKING
Printmaking is an art where an image is created on a plate
( of metal, wood, or Plexiglas ), ink is applied, and then pressed to imprint
the artwork on to beautiful papers or canvas. Multiple images can be made from the plate to create an edition or series of prints.

PRINTMAKING WORKSHOPS
With Sue Valentine

Sue will be offering a series of Monotype printmaking workshops this spring at Rosies Art Locker 4030 NE Highway 101 3 miles north of Depoe Bay in Lincoln Beach. These 1-day classes are designed to learn how to create Monotype prints in one session. What is a Monotype?
A Monotype is a printmaking process made by drawing or painting on a smooth, non-absorbent surface. The image is then transferred on to a piece of paper by pressing the two together. These prints are very spontaneous, with interesting and surprising results. Monotypes are each, one-of-a-kind.

Each session will be offering different techniques in Monotype printing. These printmaking techniques are safe and non-toxic using water based inks, they can easily be created at home without great expense. Join us and learn a new art technique

  • read the captions, the tool is a 'brayer'.

  • The technique is good but you should put off the audio since we cannot understand what's said. And what is the name of the tool you use and where to find it?
