Being mayor of NYC has lots of perks. Bloomberg started mayor and was worth 2.2 billion. His 150k salary which he denies taking is nothing compared to the billions he's been taking in from businesses. He's now worth 24 billion dollars. In 3 years he's made 21.8 billion dollars. Christine Quinn said that she knew nothing about the bogus orgs. She is indeed "full of it". She has more power than any individual politician should have. She controls where money is sent, and how it's spent. She personally controls every piece of legislation that is introduced into City Council. If she doesn't like a piece of legislation (or has "friends" (campaign contributors) who don't like it), it will never be voted on, no matter how much support it has.

@TovarishOne So you don't like the idea of using hybrid taxis? You don't like the idea of getting more people to use public transport by building cheap parking near subway stations in outlying areas? Wouldn't congestion pricing increase the use of public transport and cut emissions?
