Feeding tiny baby squirrels

We found some baby squirrels who were separated from their mother. My lovely, caring wife is doing a great job of caring for them!

Awwwwwwwwwwww...so beautiful. But nine minutes of basically the same thing over and over...someone wake me if anything different happens!!! Seriously though...great job for they would surely have died or been eaten w/out you!!!

@kaiagirlxo Esbilac was the standard, now we use Fox Valley Squirrel Formula, because Esbilac can kill our babies with severe diarrhea, even with whipping cream added. The reason for this is because Esbilac changed it's formula.

FEEDERS: The right feeder is a syringe, in the sizes of 1 cc syringes for a pinkie, 3 cc syringes for a 3 to 5 week old baby, or 6 cc syringes for a 5 to 6 week plus baby. DO NOT USE NURSER BOTTLES..u can aspirate the baby with a bottle (get milk in the lungs, causing pneumonia). The right formula is Esbilac Powder Milk Replacer for puppies with heavy whipping cream added. Esbilac Powder more closely resembles mother squirrel milk.

@JackGill1959 You are right, and I hope those who watch this to not follow their lead. Online research will answer any questions about CORRECTLY feeding them. 2 parts water, 1 part heavy whipping cream, 1 part Esbilac Powder...so I read. Tiny kitten bottles with rubber nipples is working great for my little one. Any extra tips you have, please share

did the squirrels live? if not, I am afraid it may be because you may have been feeding them to much at one time. This can cause aspiration. If they died unexpectedly, that is probably why. I hope you still have them though, I just rescued one two days ago, and will be posting a really good video in a few days...God Bless You
