Educate your children that animal abuse is not okay. Teach them that a pet is a huge responsibility and one that you have until the day that pet leaves the world. Undo the myths, pit bulls do not have locking jaws. Contact your media. Each time you see an article with Pit bull in the head line, let the media know they are focusing on the wrong subject, put the focus on the owner. "Irresponsible dog owner's starving dog got out of the yard.." Let them know we will not tolerate it anymore.

Hold up....30% are victims are abuse. Now granted, that's a sickening stat in itself, but why are so many in shelters that were not abused? There's obviously something about many of them that makes them difficult to give an adequate home to - abused or not.

pittbulls are the most loving dogs I have ever had.. I adopted a part pit and lab. he looks more like a pit.. very strong dog but also the most loving dog I have ever had.. If you train them to be fighters then that is what they will be... Its the owners who are aggressive not the dog.. They are just like any other dog.. All they want is for you to love them and they just want to make you happy.. trainers are the problem.. maybe they should be taken to the humane society instead of the dog..

Awesome, sad, but very informing. I do not own a full blood pit but have a Lab /pit. He is awesome, luv him so much!! People need to be educated & those willing to abuse these wonderful animals deserve HARSH, HARSH ponishment!!

Congrats on your new baby. But I have to agree with stavenjpatrick. The grammar undermined your point. It's hard to take you seriously when the text looks like it was written by a child. And there's no need for name calling. You made a few mistakes, and when you post things on the internet, you're basically opening yourself to criticism. Anyways, besides the grammar, it was a pretty good video. It would look really professional if you had someone proof-read before you posted.

@Kilotonhex i will also say i have been bitten by brutus i know he didn't mean it both of our dogs have been scared due to storms and such they cowered as we tried to get them to shelter and bit. i don't fault them.

i cried when i saw this. me and my roommate own one pit bull and another dog a husky mix i adopted who was left abandon on the side of the road with open wounds in his face and emaciated.. i moved to a small town to find out while living there one of the worst cases of animal abuse was occurring 33 cases of dog neglect by them being left in 3 abandon trailers filled with dog waste during the winter. I miss my dogs soo much right now I cried very hard.
