The Mora Bushcraft Triflex knife is a great knife, but like most Mora's it's lacking in the sheath department.

Lately I've been reading a lot of the knife forums regarding Mora knives & all the great mods guys are doing with their blades. Kydex sheaths are definitely a great D.I.Y option & one I had to tackle.

This was my first experience using this kydex & must say that it's a very workable material. I went with .09 thickness & was pleased with the results. Also, I used a mini Tek-Lok to give me options on different positions for the knife.

Take care

  • where I can get this piece of Kydex?

  • @Joao72h try springfield leather company or knifekitsdotcom

  • That looks so easy. I bet it looks easier than it is though. I have been pondering making a kydex sheath for my Ka-Bar Heavy Bowie. I just dont know where to get all the supplies for that here in Sweden. Figure that Swedish Mora-knife had to go all the way overseas to get a proper sheath like that. ;)

  • @SweGunner71 The knife & sheath would have to travel around the world : ) Yeah man see if there is a kydex supply store on the same continent. You can do this project yourself. Good luck

  • What did you use for installing the grommets? Seems like a grommet press is a bit costly for a few one off sheaths. Looking at doing similar for a couple of my knives, the mora and a gerber profile.

  • @boomer16323 Try using eyelets, that's what I use now & to set them you'll need an eyelet setter. You should be able to buy one online for under 10 dollars. check out springfield leather company
