I worked out how to play this and then had a hell of a time trying to get it right - everytime I turned on the camera, I flubbed it royally! This represents the umpteenth time I've played it, and there's still a slight flub coming back into the verse the final time, but oh well... I have to admit that this is pretty fun to play. As with all of today's videos, I kept the camera focused on my hands so others can see how to "finger" this one out. Doing the honors this time around is a Laughing Crow Tiger Maple flute in G. Hope you find this entertaining and worthwhile. Enjoy!

  • This is truly amazing. Do you sit down and write out the music from memory or simply play from memory? Dang Bruce your good.

  • I played the tune from memory. I've never written out music in my life (I wish I COULD!) Truth be told, this is one video I'd really like to re-do because it can be done much better. For one, I wanted to really cut loose during the "guitar solo" part, but I'd already screwed this up so many times before that this time, I just played it safe (and still screwed it up!) Now Id prefer playing it with a jazzy swing beat to give it a very different feel. Anyway, thanks again for the great comment!

  • Yeh!! I noticed how you "Screwed up".........NOT!!!!! Man, that's a brilliant piece of playing, great job my friend!

  • This is so cool! As a non-flute player, I dont notice that you messed up. This is awesome. Great job.

  • Very cool stuff..... Very Cool!!!

  • I have been teaching myself how to read music. I've written out a little for the Ocarina but not the Flute. Since my passion is obviously the flute I would like to try. I love to improvise with my sweet flute but really would like one day to sing ballads or blues. I'm going to start rambling here so I'll stop. Suffice it to say...I love this!
