Bob Weigel of http://www.sounddoctorin.com goes through some repair tips and plays around with the Elka Panther organ. This unit is actually going to be used by "The Like" and was purchased by Pete Thomas recently for the band his daughter plays drums in. I love as I mention the construction but if you get one plan on replacing all those 61 electrolytic capacitors and possibly the lamp for the tone decay (which is a decay envelope for the mixture tabs.)

  • Very nice organ. I have a simmilar one, but with two keyboards, called Elka International 1000. It has switches like the ones on a Elka Capri Junior, but some of them are defect. Do you have some of these things left, or do you know where to get them?

Another problem, the voices on the upper keyboard sound less good and bright than on the lower keyboard, while I think they should make the same sound. Do you know what to do?

    Thanks a lot in advance!
