The Drake Hotel in Chicago is known to be a haunt for "The Lady in Red." Here we explore her tale and take a little trip to the 10th floor after midnight. Not a lot of ghost action, but a great video for you to learn a bit about this famous Chicago haunted hotel. Perfect "follow our footsteps" example for those who want to try and investigate more for themselves.

TIP: Don't know if The Drake has a stance on their "huanted" status, but if you ask (and tip) the bartender in "The Cape Cod Room" you'll get more details.

  • Good job Julie and Sean, I also enjoyed the story and we are looking forward to part 2. I like the way you put everything together!!!!

  • Thanks! I hope the narration works a bit better for us on part 2 (currently working on). It was a great hotel to stay at, it was a bonus that it's supposedly haunted.

  • Very nice! Love the way the popcorn pic was used! Ghost stories are always intriguing! I'm looking forward to seeing part 2 of your video!

  • Thanks, we had a hard time learning about The Drake's "haunting" online, and no one had made a decent video about it yet. Our amateur video attempt was made to kind of fill the gap. If we get enough hits I'll finish out "part 2" where we do get at least one piece of "evidence."

  • @jjkhawaiian weird. i saw nothing. save panning from one segment of the video to the next segment. that timeframe kinda fell upon that transition. but i see what you were referring to

  • so it confirms that the Ghost thing in this hotel is a bullshit!!! Nothing happens in part one, why do we need the part 2?

  • there seems to be an anomoly at 5:13-5:19 in the alcove where the fire exit (??) door is. I barely see a rising shadow on the right hand side of the beam of blue light. I'm not saying it's a ghost or a shadow person, but it makes me wonder.

It doesn't appear to be reflection or lighting effect. What do you think?

  • and every time i would go up there i would have a feeling like if someone was watching me or following me.i would get goosebummps.it looks really scary upthere. i was very curious about the different rooms and doors it has and so i went to go check out a few although i was shitting my pants but still went.but yes indeed i do believe it is haunted.next christmas i will take video and pictures to show u guys what it looks like up there.

  • i went to the drake this past christmas (2010) to set up the christmas decorations and i will be going there every christmas from now on to set up the decorations,,,anyway we have the decorations all the way at the top ..the last floor i guess its the attic.well anyway they have old antique furniture and pictures in black and white up there and its a little dark ..itz a long hallway with pipes running at the top and there r all these doors on both sides of the hallway..

  • i went to go set up the whole christmas decorations to the drake this past chirstmas (2010) and we had a ll the decorations all the way on the top floor i guess it was the attic because thats where they store all the old stuff and everything like furniture is antique very very old...they have beds, chairs, covers, pillows,etc...anyways no one really goes up there itz very lonely and when i had to be up there by myself i felt as i was being watched or followed....

  • And just when I think I have seen every ghost story in the US, I come across a new one. Bravo! It's funny that I've never heard of "The Drake Hotel" since I live very close to Chicago. Question... The photo of the couple in your video... Was that the actual couple involved? Looking forward to Part 2!
