This is follow up to the original video review, the gun is now a year old and undergone many changes, issues and alterations. Great externals conceal rubbish internals and they're now rarer than unicorn tears because of it.

  • There is one on Wolf Armouries named "L85 A2 AEG ICS" I see its £325 not 160 like you said in your other SA80 video. Will this have the same peoblems?

  • @ColinSWiseman They say its a new gearbox design in the blurb, so you never know, it might be a bit more reliable. To be honest, I've not heard of a good SA-80 yet straight out of the box, even the real ones needed work. The Star ones were about the same cost and had reliability issues too.

  • @axeman3d would you recommend this or the classic army m15a4 ris sportline. thanks mate im new to the sport they sell this at novatcombat for £180

  • @flamingducksairsoft I think for a beginner I'd recommend the M15 clone rather than something like this. The M4 is easy to use, easy to upgrade and is well tried and tested. The SA-80 clones are more problematic and not something I'd give to someone for their first experience of a gun.

  • if i disable the blowback, will that prevent the gears,etc... striping?

as you can probably tell, im not that good with airsoft internals

  • @jagxfr I dont think it will prevent any internal damage, but it will save the battery from draining quite so quickly.

  • @ColinSWiseman The ICS L85 is the best L85 airsoft model you can buy. it comes lipo ready, with a easy interchangeable spring to change the FPS from 350- 420. so no the ICS L85 will not have these problems

  • @Milesy1818 Same gearbox, just new, stronger gears and then short-stroked the piston by removing a couple of teeth from the one driving the piston. The installation of a stronger spring offset the shorter stroke, so it shoots at the same power as before but is quicker and more reliable on single shot. The only other addition was a tighter barrel to improve the accuracy, which was inconsistent with the original barrel.

  • what gearbox did you get in it, thanks!

  • I like how you say "Ok kids, here's the gun" because you know most people who watch it are kids :P
