@BimmerFreakE39 You are right about that, but after 94' the Euro M5 start to come with the 6 speed manual tranny, and it got much more options than the 93' Euro had. The only disadvantage on the 3.8 euro is, if it's with a 6 speed, that the start was a bit poor. but in general it had much improved. I also owned Euro M5, one 92 3.6 and one 95' 3.8 6 speed. Both cars where Euro and they both are amazing and still legends for me.

@bigdash86 the 93' euro m5 was offered with the 5 speed 3.8 something I own and I think it's much much faster than the 3.6 this was just a very bad start. plus I have no sunroof and manual seats which is much lighter for my car than the 3.6.

Take note 3.6 revs faster than 3.8 also slightly lighter although on paper 95 car should be faster, so what happened there?.........

the 3.6 has a much more shorter ratio and a better acceleration. The 3.8 has a 6 speed manual gearbox which gives advantage at high speeds. If u are on a 1/4mile race i'd better take the 3.6 with the 5 speed.

3.6's are very robust n generally hold on to all 315hp's but 3.8 is a delicate engine and prob holds on to approx 325 for a good one. Plus drivers will make a big difference over all and condition of both cars aswell. A good driver in a 3.6 will outshine a bad driver in a 3.8. That's for sure.

95 E34 M5 3.8 comes with super heavy 24pounds+ Dual Mass Fly Wheel, Also the rear Differential original is 3.73 LSD with 5 speed trany. 91' E34 M5 has Single Mass Fly Wheel and rear Shorter differential 3.91 LSD. These 2 things makes the car a very litle slower than the 3.6. Plus the 3.6 jumped first.
