That paraglider got a full frontal during take-off. Take-off was difficult that day and a few minutes after that, the wind went backwards. In my opinion, she lifted her hand a bit too fast, allowing the glider to shoot in front of her. The most important is that she was completly unhurt, and flew again the next days (and even made great flights those days)

  • In a hurry to fly, brotha ? Put the glider over yr head and stabilize it first, then go ;-P

  • don't run before the glider is even over your head ? :)

  • Judging by the windsock the prevailing wind looked normal.

I had this once, and I've seen this with other experienced pilots as well .Even with a textbook takeoff, the glider "sticking" to a mountain slope no matter how hard you run. My theory is, that as a cold air sinks, it follows the contours of the mountain slopes causing these incidents.

  • Does anyone know which model wing is this exactly ?

  • It seems to me that the pilot braked too hard right after inflation when there was no need to brake at all, so the glider stopped in place, got behind her when she started running, and then shot forward as soon as it gained speed.

  • Encore une fois oscillation en tangage au décollage

  • thats not slow running, thats fucking bad brakes-handling. Hit the brakes harder, glider stays behind u..

  • The glider went in front of the pilot, this may have been avoided by a faster run and perhaps a bit longer on the brakes, comes down to practising and kiting and luck
