Oh! You replied to my first post, sorry, yeah, that was more directed at religion in general. People often make the mistake of thinking that the spiritual and transcendent belong primarily to religion and the supernatural, not true! Read any book by Carl Sagan and be overwhelmed by beautiful metaphor and secular transcendence :)
In-fact, in many ways I think the atheist position is more beautiful in it's consistency with reality and honesty. Ask me what I mean by atheist :)

I originally had, "the bible admits the world isn't perfect" in my post, referring to, "sin entering the world", although there are many problems consolidating that view with an omniscient/omnipotent god, that's a whole other discussion
It's fine to quote bible verses, but it doesn't leave much room for discussion with non-believers, seeing as the bible has no real secular authority unless you employee faith
My post was directed at creationism and less at Christianity though :)
