no, there's lot of calculus invovled there, simulations and stuff like that.
-
do you think PWR is good?
-
So cute.

Just remember, they didn't call us Mop 'n Glows for nothing...

@bnortonm Don't worry about calculus or anything, the math isn't that hard. The program is more mind numbing if anything lol. Just know that if you become a nuke, you are going to be the most bitter sailor in the fleet. The job is not glamorous and it sucks for the most part. I don't mind the work but there is a lot of bullshit that you have to deal with that goes along with the job. Don't let the recruiter bullshit you, and don't do it just for the money.

i just got a 93 on my asvab and am talking to a nuke recruiter. i would like some feedback on the program. i dont like calculus, would the program be a good fit for someone who works hard and is reasonably good at math (but not great)?

@LibranEsq So you would describe her in the video as an inmate and a loser? That only shows that you are an idiot.

She must be like that woman on Top Gun...

@ScizzorMeXerxes Hooray- me too. Have you been through basic yet?
-

I'm proud to say I got a 98 on my ASVAB and will be enlisted as a Nuclear Engineer for the US Navy. :)

Hopefully, you emphasized the fact that Admiral Rickover also chose the PWR design above all others because of his ingenious forsight. As a side note, the Westinghouse AP1000 has passive ECCS incorporated into the design. To put it mildly, this type of design could have precluded the events that took place at Japan's BWR facility. None of their reactors at this daiichi location were of the PWR design. Japan had a complete failure of ECCS or if indeed they had an adequate ECCS at that facility.
