Linebacker-U Penn State

Guys don't get me wrong. Im not knocking kids from the north. But I coached college football (in South Dakota, Minnesota, and Ohio). Granted they were DII schools but I was around them enough to know the average kid from Texas is going to be a better athlete than the average kid from Ohio or Minnesota. Its has nothing to do with the climate. It has to do with the quality of the high school programs. Im not bashing your schools. I would love to see the Big 10 get back on an equal footing.

I used to love watching Penn State when I was kid. Its sad hpw bad they have fallen off. Midwest football just isnt that good anymore. They cant compete with true football states like Texas and Florida. Southern States just have naturally tougher kids and better coaches in the high schools. Not a knock on Penn State because I still love their tradition.

i'm probably one of the fastest kids in my division and i'm a linebacker not a running back and i live in Pennsylvania and i average 6 sacks a game.

You wouldnt start on a 2A team in Texas,Florida, or Alabama.

Actually Southern Kids have a very hard time playing in the weather up North when it comes crunch time, so saying Southern Kids are tougher when the coldest it gets there is maybe the 60's is an over statement

They may not produce Hall of Famers, but the consistency of the linebackers is so good that I'd draft a Penn State linebacker and not think twice b/c I know Joe Paterno did a good job.
