@krnsngr85 I have a pair of Gaynors and they are okay. I definitely prefer my Russian pointes to them. I was originally fitted for the Grande's, but then had the opportunity to go to the boutique in Chicago and get fitted there, and they put me in the Almaz. Both are beautiful shoes. Its sooooo hard for me to find pointe shoes that work because my feet are weird-shaped to begin with, and seem to change shape the more I dance, lol.

when i was a little girl, i used to beg my mom to buy me muffin shoes. (pointe shoes) i didnt know what they were called. i feel so bleh. but anyways i never got them. :( but i will >:)

I'm a dancer too but I'm female, and I'm not trying to cause trouble by asking, but no one has ever said why male dancers take pointe sometimes. Why? Isn't pointe for females (once again, no offense or anything like that... i'm just curious...)?

Just amazing..I am envious. I am a guy and used to take ballet. Are there other guys in your pointe class or are you the only one. Did a male instuctor teach you to dance en pointe. sorry So many questions...I wanna start back taking ballet class and hopefully go up en pointe if I get good enough.

I know right??? I think I might considering being fitted into Gaynor Mindens even though they look narrow for me But it wouldn't hurt to try right?

Serenades are REALLY hard to break in. I had them for a few years (not the same pair!!), and I could never really get the box to break in like I wanted, and the shank ALWAYS broke in the wrong place, no matter what I did. So I got Bloch Synergy's, with the 3/4 hard shank. I think they'd look good on you, too.
And hey, totally cool that you're a guy en pointe! Major props to you!

I have been trying to find Bloch Synergy's. I don't know if I should get the full shank or the 3/4. But some say I should get the full because 3/4 doesn't look good on my feet. So I'll have to keep looking.
