@Tastytentacle it is rather indian, but then the welsh language is oftem linked to the languages of asia, though we look more like afghans.

@Tastytentacle In my mothers street there's one house that could have been affordable for a first time buyer. I personally knew 2 people that were wanting to buy this home. But before we knew it, someone from 'away' came and offered more. They had it, still do.....And guess what? They use it for 4 weeks of the year...as a retreat!!!! Sickening. That could have been someone's home that needed it. There's already a shortage of affordable homes these days.

THE BEST PLACE IN WALES IS BARRY. It might be a shit hole but at least has the advantage of having an airport nearby so you get the hell out and go somewhere with decent weather and cheap beer!

Well it's not just Wales is it, those that buy second homes are killing vilages everywhere by pushing the locals out and making it impossible for them to stay because of over bloated prices, which when it comes down
to it makes the sellers irresponsible and greedy! So who is to blame?

I was in Aberystwyth the other day along the Cambrian Line, beautiful place. I'm English myself but would love to move to the rural parts of Wales when I'm older.

yes it is, my dad has got a caravan in Machynlleth so i go down there quite a lot, nice train ride down!
