This is a caravan being sprayed with RM Onyx Waterborne paint This is part of a large collision repair job. The hood and bumper cover were also sprayed. This is cleared with glasurit 923-109 clearcoat.

    lol...thanks brother

  • many questions here as i have not had the privilege to blend onyx yet, but regs are coming rite lol yaaaaaaaaaay?!?!?! ok i noticed you were laying your wet bed down before each step out, with there not being as much solvents in the waterborne is this why you felt comfortable about packing the 00? on. also i was told to model the onyx, areyou modeling ever step out?. and last why glasurit on a caravan? lol, i can barely justifiable by me to use limco on such a job. great work

I dont have time to watch the vid and cant remember that far back but typically its one coat of color, then the blender (wet bed) another coat to cover and blend, then instantly a mist coat. Easy colors you can apply the blender first or not at all. The RM clears priced just as much or sometimes more then Glasurit for us, but I hear ya man...maybe limco would have suited this better.

  • which gun are you using here today? lph?

  • @jeetkunedoground

In this I've used a Devilbiss CVI (blue), LPH400 and a Sata RP for clear.

  • @jimmo4life No problem!

An even overlap is ideal, guess we all have our off days.

  • is this how it's sprayed? spraying from so many angles with no steady gun distance?
