Elding Whale Watching 030112

Well we thought yesterday was good but today proved to be even better. We started the tour in a snow storm and so we couldn't see 5m in front of our faces. Then the sky lifted to show the beautiful snow capped mountains and winter light. Once the sky cleared we could see the Orca (Killer Whales) in the distance and then about 30 minutes later there were Orca as far as the eye could see, the White-beaked Dolphins soon joined in and suddenly a big blow, YES, YES, YES a Humpback Whale Whoo Hoo!! Incredible. All in All we could see maybe 30-40+ Orca all spread out, some close, some far away, 5-10 White-beaked Dolphins and a Humpback Whale. Could not ask for a better day :) Wonderful start to the new Year.
