International donors pledged 213 million dollars Thursday to help bolster security in Somalia, in a key move to address pirate attacks off the country's coast. UN chief Ban Ki-moon and his special envoy to the restive East African state stressed that the best means to combat piracy was to address Somalia's "root" problems like poverty and lawlessness.

I hope that the International community helps the Somali people to integrate a well functioning government. The country has been neglected way too long. This could also help the UN for its credibility.
