Guthrie Govan - Wonderful Slippery Thing Cover
A special occasion, my tribute to Guthrie. The best I could do for now...

Equipment:
Proto's Invisiplug wireless transmitter.
Peavey Wolfgang Custom EL
Korg footcontroller

Recorded using Sonar 8.5 PE + Amplitube 3

Isn't that a Wonderful Slippery Thing?

  • Lie!

He can play that and more but there are people who will not let him play as he wanted, plus he already has an image

    But it was a joke

  • @jasonbecklegend @dreadcrawler Drake taught me everything I know back in 1842, so we travelled in time to this preset date and later on we talked with tom cruise to give us a facemaker, so Drake could look like me. He's actually a Reptilian. True!

  • great job ......the easiest parts are the ones you are struggling with (rhythm) 1:13 tighten that up and your golden

  • @georgesorosisgay1 Thanx, but the tip was a little confusing to me and I couldn't understand it. Cuz at 1:13 there's a riff. Perhaps my english is failing me and I'm missing the meaning of "rhythm". What u meant by that?

  • @RaphaGiraldez To have rythm is to have the gift of being perfectly in time. Riffs can be played as they should (on time) . What he was meaning is that your riff was not perfectly in time. Wich is bullshit.

AWESOME cover, don't put so much gain on de distorted parts just more volume and less gain.

Keep on rocking. btw thx for punishing me for not practising enough

  • @Daan7000 Thanx man, glad u like it. About the tone, actually I was trying to make it similar to Govan's on this song. And what ur feeling as too much gain is the effect of a stereo flanger, with L and R with slight different settings. But guess what was my audio monitors at that time? $3 1w PC Speakers LOL

Subscribe if you like, I'm trying to find time to make another cover, since my last one was from myself, I guess I'll be doing Beyond this Life, from Dream Theater. Tune in, cheers!
