Once upon a time there was a movie about a woman looking for love. And then there was another one. And another one. And another one.

The "I'm a guy and..." comment bothers me, and is especially ironic given the video series it refers to. It's not like only women think ridiculous, stereotyping ads are funny and you have to point out the opposite like it's some rarity. It makes it sound like women are only funny to other women, even if that may not have been your intention.

  • I absolutely ADORE Colin Firth!!!!!

  • I also want to marry Colin Firth!

  • hey what about breakfast at tiffany's, one of the best chick flickes of all all time?

And I said, "What about 'Breakfast at Tiffany's?'"

She said, "I think I remember the film,

And as I recall, I think, we both kind of liked it."

And I said, "Well that's, the one thing we've got."

  • No way, I'm marrying Colin Firth!

  • After watching this I looked up the trailer for "Happy Go Lucky" -- there's a British version and an American version. The American one DOES makes it seem like a quirky chick flick, so I can't say I'd blame someone unfamiliar with the film or Mike Leigh for getting the wrong impression. The trailer actually supports this series' points on marketing items to women, as an American studio tries to take a thoughtful and quiet foreign film and cram it into the chick flick marketing mold.

  • Generation Y the movie.

  • Happy-Go-Lucky is so far from a romantic comedy. It has comedy, but it's so psychological, especially the relationship of Poppy and her depressed driving instructor. Ok I'm sounding weird----just go watch it, it has none of those chic flick clichés. it's really lovely

  • That's a lotta Colin Firth.

  • Heck yeah I'm marrying Colin Firth!

  • Happy Go Lucky isn't a romantic comedy though?

  • i like to cry for fun lmao
