I agree that Mireille is great; but to say that she's greater then the "'Little sparrow", Edith Piaf is not quite right. Edith Piaf was 7 is the greatest chanteuse that France has given us. her ballads of unrequited love are unique & she had a way of making you feel her sorrows & tribulations; so yes, Mathieu is good but no comparison to the great Piaf.

@literary123 Comparisons why do we bother?. Lets compare them both to Elvis Presley on a sliiding scale of 1 to 4000 with a metric conversion factor. People say Mimi sings Abba songs better than Abba. Its just too confusing.

I love Mireille Mathieu... But she sings in a so stranger way on this video... It really unsettles me... Her expressions and voice are so pallid, she's not her... I think as well as all common people she was not in a good moment and she tries but doesn't get to hide it.
Who loves Mireille like me and watch your performances every day it will be in according with... Sorry for some mistakes in my English...

Agreed. But we bear in mind she lives out of a suitcase and must sometimes have jetlag and minor illnesses.This is rarely seen.

I've met Mirielle twice before! Once in Paris, France, and another time in Berlin, Germany! We got to go back stage! She is so down to earth and normal, despite her fame. She is a very dear woman.
