@scootss60 It depends on the contractors They can order a custom message for the system. There is a video on YouTube called Simplex Female Voice Evacuation Message. The male voice was probably more common on older systems. Just because the videos are new doesn't mean the buildings/systems in them are as well

@brownguyrav2007 It's a Canadian regulation this one doesn't really qualify as stages as voice evac systems do that in the US but a lot of them will do one beep every second for stage 1 which means there MIGHT be a fire" When a maintenance person or building safety official finds a problem or after a set amount of time usually 5 minutes it will go into second stage where it's typically doing march time that means EVACUATE NOW!

The junior high school near my house has a Simplex 4100U system as well, except it's not a two-stage system, and it does Slow Whoop instead of the Code-3 tone (I heard it go off today as I was passing by and they were testing the system.)

no.....I believed it was fix by simplex a few months ago when they updated the firmware.

this was a test the city wanted to do. we have a serious trial next door in a court house an they wanted to sim a real alarm and go through all the phases. from 1st to 2nd but didnt work out as planned.

Is that woman's voice in the evac message a Simplex default or was it someone from their location that recorded the message?
It's certainly nicer than some of the EST2 messages I've heard where the guy sounded like he had something stuck up where the sun don't shine. ;)
