  • @DoubleTalkingJive they are...youre wrong.

  • @dooom560 clearly you dont know but new talent will be featured as well.the only joke in the pro wrestling world is tna.most of wwe's product is garbage also.tell yourself to give it up when what you do is so engrained in you that its all you know.have you done anything for 20 plus years besides be a judgemental prick who couldnt last in any sort of match,be it fixed or legit.

  • @DoubleTalkingJive ECW had the highest rated show on TNN at the time, was regularly selling out the Hammerstein and other stomping grounds they ran. I can even think of one 5,000 sell out at the Grand Olympic Auditorium in California for Heat Wave 2000. The west coast! They had toys, great selling music CD's and their tapes didn't make it to stores until they went under. Their PPV buyrates were growing larger every month and bordering the same as WCW buyrates in 2000. Lookitup

  • @drinkingWINDSORCOKE Lol. I gots to go collect....

  • @DoubleTalkingJive get the money mother fucker cause i got no more patience! lol had to..

  • Plus, the Hardcore Revolution is dead. WCW and WWE took all of ECW's hardcore concepts, along with the style, attitude, use of modern rock/metal and incorporated it into their own product. WCW was doing Hardcore in '94 and WWE starting flirting with it in late '95.

Once the Big Two went there, there was no longer any need for ECW, since the big companies could make it flashier and more of an "attraction".

ECW accomplished a lot, but that doesn't mean fans are still clamoring for it in 2012.

  • I love Shane but he's wildly over-stating ECW's legacy, exaggerating their impact on the business, and treating the death of ECW as the creation of a Texas-sized void in the business. And those things just aren't true.

Was ECW influential? Absolutely. But we're still talking about a micro-sized, no-budget indie that aired on glorified Public Access TV that most wrestling fans knew nothing about until '97, when the company was already going downhill. They drew no money, ratings, or revenue.

  • @extremereunion2012 way to take the high road

  • @dooom560 YOUR A FUCKING IDIOT

  • AMEN..
