You're biased ;-) I don't agree about the ice cream truck song: It's Turkey in the Straw, not the usual, Barren Rocks of Aden!

im sorry but 5 minutes is way to long to wait .. especially if you strike up and your pipes are already in tune

In a grade 1 solo competition pipes can't just be "in tune," they must be fine-tuned. This is a very temperamental instrument--and in ±80° weather in the direct sun, the tuning will change dramatically--so I gave my pipes some time to settle in so they wouldn't change too much while I played. Normally, I don't spend more than 2 minutes or so tuning before a judge. In more extreme conditions, it can take much longer for the tuning to settle.
