  • Get someone who knows Muay Thai to put you in a clinch. Try to knee them. Then you will understand.

  • @VanishingAct27 No, if their hands aren't trying to get position (for instance if they are punching instead of going for position) most people will get turned and kneed/elbowed. Getting punched in the clinch may be annoying, but it won't knock you out. I'd gladly have someone punch me in the clinch if it mean's I can get a better position and knee them back.

  • That's correct your opponent does not have the necessary distance or ability to put any rotation into it. In fact you would hope your opponent would try to punch. Because if your opponent is busy punching all you need to do is spin, knee a few times. When you think the referee will stop it dump him hard on the canvas. Then do it all over again. ;) It just means your opponent has zero clinching experience and probably lacks the stamina as a result.

  • getting punched in the clinch doesn't hurt, huh....
