**UPDATE**

After a revolutionary brain surgery at Cornell, Sir Noggin is doing great, developing normally and pain-free. He has a titanium mesh helmet inside his head to protect his skull. He is a lucky dude and a great cat. He has a Facebook page which is a lot of fun, too.

http://www.facebook.com/sirnoggin

Please visit www.sirnoggin.com to learn more about Sir Noggin's medical options or to donate to him expenses.

Please know that we are working with a team of vets and that we all have Sir Noggin's best interests at heart. Right now, his bad days are few and far between - about once every 14 days - and his MRI on Monday, October 12th, will tell us a lot about his future. We know that there is a chance he'll need to be put down some day, but not while he is the strong, normal, healthy, happy cat that he is. Search for Sir Noggin of Loxley on Facebook for regular updates.

  • Not to be insensitive, but isnt it a bit cruel to keep him alive when he's in consistent pain? Or is there an actual soloution? A procedure?

  • @EffLabels there's a learn-to-read that would let you know he's cured. cornell did brain surgery. normal cat now. groundbreaking science. thanks, though. XD

  • @brantandfatty Wasnt raised in South Sudan, so surprisingly I can read.

( I honestly clicked on and clicked off, 'Update' sentence never caught my eye.)

That's amazing he's doing well. I hate seeing animals in pain, it puts me into a deep depression. I really hope he continues to go from strength to strength!!

  • @EffLabels yup yup he is doing great. follow his own musings at Facebook dot com slash sirnoggin

  • there must be other methods to replace the missing skull.

Anyone who had a cyst knows, the second a needle is stuck in it, it feels 100x better lol.

  • we have vets from 4 animal hospitals working on Sir Noggin's treatment plan. Not only do they all believe we are doing the right thing, but they also all agree on the plan.

  • I cried at this X) no joke. poor kitty ;'(

  • If I were older and able to, I'd absolutely donate. I absolutely can't stand seeing young animals in that much pain, it brings me to tears.

I wish you and Sir Noggin luck in acquiring the funds you need to get the treatment, and I hope to see an update when he gets it :D
