HPC Elite Team member, Alie Israel, opened her 2009 outdoor season at the International Friendship & Freedom Games in Greensboro, NC. She ran the 100m and bested her previous personal record of 11.71 in both the prelims and the finals by running 11.63 and 11.62. Her time in the finals was achieved despite running in to a headwind (-1.0 m/s).
