Time To Grow - Ruhan's Debut album.
Ruhan is perhaps best known for her role in Damon Albarn's Chinese rock-opera Monkey: Journey To The West. Ruhan's other major performance credits include the theme song for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and "Dao Zai Fan Ye" on Christopher Tin's 2011 double Grammy award winning album, Calling All Dawns. In 2009, Ruhan won the First Prize at the 18th Discovery International Festival and second Prize for bel-canto at the prestigious Llangollen International Music Festival, held in Wales.
Together with musicians from Sweden, China, Taiwan, Australia, US, UK and the Faroe Islands, Ruhan creates a beautiful debut album. Time To Grow combines Chinese musical concepts and elements with Western forms and superbly showcases Ruhan's delightful soprano. It is worth noting that the album credits include the famous Swedish pianist Robert Wells and mixing engineer Bernard Lohr (Mamma Mia, Celine Dion, Westlife, Il Divo).
