Wild ARMs 4 Raquel solo - Balgaine

This is a segment from my Raquel solo run. The rules are as follows:

-Characters other than Raquel can only Guard.
-Characters other than Raquel must be under level 10 (this is done by equipping the Monopoly Gourd on Raquel).
-Characters other than Raquel must use their initial equipment. No Alter Parts may be used for Jude's ARM.
-No items that can be only gotten through New Game+ carry overs can be used.

This is done on New Game+ only to have access to the Monopoly Gourd to keep other characters' levels in check. Nothing carried over from the previous playthrough will be used.

This is the fight against Balgaine, who appears at the end of the Silver Star Express.

Balgaine is a fun fight. He has three attacks, but all of them require a turn to charge. Detonation Charge Lv1 charges an attack that hits the three hexes in front of him. Lv2 charges an attack that hits two hexes in a line. Lv3 can only be used from the middle hex and hits the whole battlefield. All of these deal 9999 damage and ignore defense and evade. Suffice to say, if you're in the area of the blast, you're dead.

So the strategy to this fight is to attack when he charges, and move away before he executes the attack. If he gets the middle, blitz him and hope he dies before he gets to attack. Fortunately he's slow (relatively), so it's not too tough. But without the proper strategy, this fight can be hard.

i saw some scans of an artbook on photobucket, and punched his height into a cm to feet calculator.

just search "wild arms 4" to see them. they're bad quality, but readable.

too bad i can't read japanese, though.
