  • I don't think there's a problem with her performance. She was cast in this role, and I believe she did well with her character. Her director obviously saw something she was able to bring to this character that others were not. Yes, her acting may have outweighed her vocals in this particular piece, but I don't believe there's anything wrong with that. Playing a role differently from the original production is, and never has been, a bad thing. And all of this is coming from a very 'big girl'.

  • @agentnuzzy You know, that might be the most insightful comment I've seen on this video so far.

  • what does Ivy say before "It think we've all noticed that"

  • "You know, I've noticed some of my clothes are missing..."

  • you don't have to be fat to think you're fat. especially when you live with someone who is skinnier than you and who is constantly making you feel bad about your body

  • she's definetely not fat....

  • To everyone who's complaining about Nadia not being fat enough for the role- what makes Nadia's character is her poor self image. There are skinny girls who look in the mirror and still think that they're fat. That said, I think that casting a thinner Nadia can actually make her poor self image more evident. Though a heavier actress might be more appropriate and conducive to the sarcastic lines in the script, I think that casting someone thinner gives a new depth to the character.

  • My problem with this is Nadia's size, as I see many others have noted on. I understand seeing yourself as fat, but when others are making fun of her size as well ("I don't have the advantage of it being way out in front of me"), there needs to be size there. I understand that Ivy and Nadia have a lot of back-and-forth, but comments of that magnitude are not directed at thin people, plain and simple. Sorry.

  • she's a bit thin for the role...

  • I don't appreciate this because she is NOT fat.

  • She sounds more annoyed and full of angst than upset....

  • I wish she were playing the cello like in the original, or pretending to. If she's just sitting still, it's more like she's sulking than taking comfort.

Really nice voice, and I like her level of emotion--it's downbeat, like the music.

  • my favorite part was the piano at the end. for real.

  • this is just my opinion, but i dont think she grasped the fact that her character is supposed to be upset...

shes just spitting the lines out, the way she learned them.

my friend grace did this same song at my school and she showed emotion. it was beautiful
