despite by ambivalence about this film, its still so much better than almost any western that followed it right up to and including now, somebody should post a piece or two of it especially the parts with Crenna he was a trip in this

a guilty plesure this film hardly a great western, but damn its fun in spots
they all had to be laughing up their sleeve turning the making everything is so
over the top

You can catch it on the Encore Western Western Channel on 3-25-11 at 8 P.M. EST. It will be repeated on 4-22-11 at 1:45 A.M. EST. Please double check your local tv guide for the time in your area. There are other time choices as well. Don't miss this one. Record it if you have to so you can watch it later. It is a good one.

people, what is so great about this movie? it's practically a whole different story from the book, the cast looked and acted nothing like the original characters, the acting was completely deadpan and so on... how could mr mclean write such a great book and mangle the screenplay in this way!

@coffeeintheface You're right
They did FOUR flims together: "Death Wish 3", "Death Hunt" with the late great Lee Marvin, "The White Buffalo" and "Breakhart Pass".
I wasn't even aware anyone else loved this movie and the soundtrack as much as me! Charles Bronson's best!

Jerry Goldsmith was a genius at Western scores in the 60's and 70's.
