Hi I just wanted to put another similar vaulting video out there again for some who have asked. Remember please very careful with your new or young dog. Remember they are still growing and/or developing new muscles they are not used to. And remember to take your time and Quality is a lot more important then Quantity. So keep your training sessions brief.

  • My dog will jump up and off my back, but she tends to jump down more than into the air and then wants me to throw the frisbee after she's on the ground again. What is the best way to help her understand that she needs to jump up to get the frisbee?

  • @lthueson I just noticed this. Hey get someone else to work with you and have them put the disc out there where she knows she has to jump and get it then reward her greatly. Baby Steps at a time.

  • @GeorgiaIrish Thanks, ya I did this and it worked well. Then I found another problem where I was having her jump more from behind me, to out off my right shoulder, making it hard for me to throw. I think that was my biggest issue. I watched some more of your videos and noticed you have them come from the side. Most would have probably caught on to that quicker, haha. Anyway, I can already see a big improvement. Thanks for always giving tips! Much appreciated.

  • @lthueson This is so awesome. I tell people to watch videos all the time you can learn so much by studying others videos then studying videos of your self. Videos tell you everything you want to know. Usually. Awesome to hear this good news.

  • Thanks for posting! I'm having trouble getting a consistant, successful vault though as my toss SUCKS! Whats the technique you use?? Whatever I've been trying recently has been working much better, but your advice would be appreciated :)

  • @canidkeeper11 On one of my other videos look at my video on learning the FLOATER throw. The Floater throw is the basic throw that you usually throw to have your dog catch it from a vault. And practice these all the time with out the dog.
