possible larger output hose from your cell? seems like you have a certain amount of head pressure from the bubble at the bottom of the cell and also a certain amount of head pressure in the output hose, once the hho presure builds to overcome that pressure it goes up the hose, probably pressures backwards out the bottom at that point also, good job, i think i might even put a trans cooler inline on the bottom hose on mine

Actually, the bubbler is set just the way you describe: the entry is to the top of the bubbler having a small tube down the middle by about 5 inches, and the water level is just below the level of the end of this tube. the gas exit tube on the bubbler is just above the entry tube.
As you can see in the next video, I addressed the flow problem by simply raising the bubbler. Big improvement, but still would like faster flow.
THANKS!

make the exit from cell to top of bubbler. then put water level to bottom of hole. if you cover the hole going back to bubbler it will block flow. good job
ps make sure you dont have alot of void space in bubbler.
Yes, the pulsing effect was something I noticed with my first couple Tero Ranta replications couple years ago. Tried to get around that by using seperate inlet/outlet. This got rid of the pulsing, but lost some efficiency. So its all about trade offs.
If you disrupt the normal formation of bubbles, you will end up with tiny nano bubbles in your fluid that are a pain to get out. Ultrasonic pond fogger helps but is not perfect. Best to let bubbles form natually and escape for now.

Ahh. Well taken from one of my masters.
I've just gotten into this whole thing about 6 weeks ago, and am just into it. I thank you and your work that really inspires me here...especially now. Thanks so much.

In addition, I notice that Magdrive uses 100% distilled vinegar, the results are like putting his units "on steroids". I notice the bubbles with vinegar are bigger. Perhaps will experiment with this. Have you, or any one else tried this? ...worth pursuing?

I would suggest a 1/2" output tube and a 3/8" return line.
Avoid any 90 degree bends and fittings if possible.
Sweep Ell's are ok. Hard 90's mean the fluid needs to do more work to change direction.

Got it. Thinking alike here.
THanks!

Water level in bubbler? Electrolyte?
chucksheen 3 years ago
See answer to above comment.
Electrolyte is NaOH, 1/2 tsp/liter distilled (from dehumidifier).
Much faster on next video with just simply raising bubbler, but perhaps could be faster.
