@greywolf210 I'm confused did he draw that in parallel and say series? honestly that looked like all negatives are connect and same for the positives.
he should show how to wire them just 1 at a time, be less confusing.

you've got that backwords... the electrons flow from negative to positive. You said it correctly in the begining, but the picture you drew shows it going from positive to negative.

@raooloroppezza its very possible! Many people have an all solar/wind turbine setup! Watch this video and other solar videos on his channel: youtubeDOTcom/watch?v=YpZ4LeqK

Hey Robert, what if I wanted to power up my whole home assuming that I have an electricity consuption of I don't know 200 kw-hour but at night I turn on my air conditioner that recquires 220 volts so I want to know how many solar panels of those would I need and how many batteries and if it''s even possible....?

but if i really want to do it ? wat is the best way to do it and where do i have to focus on ? where could it go wrong ? thanks!

Well honestly, I couldn't really recommend the best way to do it since I've never done it and probably wouldn't do it myself lol, but I can recommend a forum where you can ask about that, but I'm sure most will tell you the same thing I have, but if you really really want to go that route, they should be able to point you in the right direction:

can you make a solar system to power your hole house ? say,40panels in series back to the grid ? or is that dangerous ? or do you need 40 panels from the factory if you want to do it save ? and why is it dangerous if you make 40 panels yourself and deliver it back to the grid?

Lets just put it this way - You can but it's not practical.
Meaning, sure, you can build 40 or however many solar panels you need to power your whole house, but there are many other things you have to consider when you go the DIY route. Some include, most DIY panels are not covered by your insurance. Another, most DIY panel's life time is not that great compared to a professional panel...and the list just goes on. I would just recommend making a DIY panel for small projects.

oke but it doesn t matter where the wires are , the front of 1 single cell (were the sun is falling on) is negative right ? and the back is positive.
kareldezoonvanbennie 2 years ago
Right, the top is the negative, and the bottom is the positive, but in this example we do not need to know that at all as we are not concerned with where the tabbing wire is soldered at on the solar cells (single cell).
We are just concerned about what end of the strings are negative, and what end is positive.
