@deboarah You are right that they are bigger than the Airedale, but Russian terriers are not true terriers. It is believed that about twenty breeds were used in its development, including the Airedale, the Giant Schnauzer, the Rottweiler, the Newfoundland, the Caucasian Ovtcharka and the now extinct Moscow Water Dog. So although their name suggests that they are terriers, they are not. (although they have terrier in them) So the Airedale is still the largest. :)

I think Black Russian Terrier is the largest breed of terrier.
