  • And the .007 should fit and the .008 won't on the exhaust and the .006 will on the intake and .007 won't right

  • No, the clearance should be between .006 - .007 intake and .007 - .008 exhaust. If your feeler gauge fits outside these specs then the valve is ether to tight or to loose.

  • 1.8 Vtec head off a 98 gsr integra what are the valve clearances for my vehicle?

  • 98 GSR valve clearance specs;

    Intake .15 - .19mm(.006 - .007inch)

    Exhaust .17 - .21mm(.007 - .008inch)

  • GREAT VID!! How about feeler gauge specs for my 5th gen prelude H22a4? Thanks ahead of time!

  • Valve clearance for your Prelude is: Intake .15-.19mm (.006 - .007inch) Exhaust .19-.21mm (.007-.008).

  • Thanks for the reply. Nice to know there are real people still out there backing up their videos.

    FYI: If you change the title to say something like "Honda Civic Tune Up - How to do a Valve Adjustment" you'll get 24x's more hits. Just browse the results on the right of your videos and adjust the keywords to the ones with the most hits.

    There's millions of Honda's out there and a lot of kids that play around with them.

    You have your stuff together. You deserve more views. Best Regards!

  • Yes, the manual does say to rotate the crankshaft counterclockwise. However as long as you adjust the valves associated with the timing marks the valve adjustment outcome will still be the same.
