Salam, I just want to comment on ayat 68. I was confused at first but then Allah sbwt helped me to understand. The ayat first talkes about people doing right and avoiding evil, then says,"And those who do this shall recieve the punishment". This doesnt mean the righteous, it means those who actually do the evil that the righteous avoid.

wa'alikum alsalam. The punishment in the aya refer to those evil people who commit one of the sins mentioned in the aya (worshiping other than Allah, killing, illegal sexual intercourse) not the righteous as you said.
