This will be my first time voting, but I've done reading on the past few elections and can sympathize. But all I can do this time around is support Obama and hope that his platform is more than just a platform and actually is a plan.

True. No one is. He isn't McCain though. And he's got a chance of winning.
What we need to do, is vote for him and not let up on the pressure for him to act at least moderately progressive.

Even if Obama is doing political backpedaling and some flip-flopping, I'm still voting for him. McCain has flopped on nearly every important issue since he started running for president. Anything is better than more of the same.

Mel - you are PATHETIC. You say "but obama SAYS he is against it"...get used to it, Obama will say one thing, and then do another.
He says he is against the immunity, but then he shows his TRUE COLORS and votes FOR IT. And you think that is ok. You are a fucking moron.

HA! Mel, you are hilarious. "Did you even listen to Keith?" you ask. Yes, I listened to Keith, but I don't agree with him, is it ok to disagree with the media in your book? Is ok to think for myself? Yes, I read Obama's statement, it made me even more angry. Obama is acting just like the very politicians he criticizes, if he doesn't agree with the immunity - he shouldn't vote for it. Period.
Try thinking for yourself for a change, or maybe just thinking period would be a good first step.
