A video with pictures of the Subaru telescope mirror being cleaned. Liquid CO2 is sprayed on the mirror, which turns to "snowflakes" when exposed to air, and takes dust with it. See this site for more info: http://www.noao.edu/noao/noaonews/mar93/art44.html.

The mirror is 8.2-meter in diameter. This observatory is atop Mauna Kea.
