Hey everyone. Here is my favorite product to come out of CES 2010 so far, the Iomega iConnect Wireless Data Station. It has 4 USB Connections which allow you to plug in 4 external harddrives. Then it has either wired or wireless connection to your network and thus turns your external harddrives into a NAS system. I think its great. What are you favorite products so far to come out from CES 2010?

  • Basically this product does not work!!!

Mine could not even be found on the wired network ... never even got to the wireless bit.

The software didn't appear to work and kept asking to download an update. When said update was installed it again asked for the same update.

How much did Iomega pay you for this video?

  • @bjddavies Iomega did not pay me anything for this video. I do not own this product at all. It looked like a great product in theory. If you can get Iomega to pay me for this, that would be awesome.

  • Not that I am aware of.

  • just got mine! Love it!

  • Hey .. im planning to buy this device , one questions... can i connect an external DVD drive to one of the USB ports and access files of my dvds on my network. that way ill have a network shared DVD drive.. thx :)

  • ive had no problems with mine, i am very happy, especially with the cost

  • I agree with bjdavies, this device does not do what it says on the box. It doesn't work wirelessly, this was the main reason for purchase. The Manager programme doesn't see the drive although you can find it under storage on the network. The connected drives continuously busy with light flashing, which is a concern. The local web ip page doesn't load. Wish I'd never brought it, a waste of 50 quid!!

  • mind you I just got mine today, but I'm impressed so far. Setup was good, best feature I like is the fact that its a DLNA server so I can stream video (avis and full movies) to by Sony Blu Ray player to watch on my TV

  • @hairyballs2, it's slow, more like less than 1mb per second.
