BF2142 - Zeller Fun #2

Second of a series of Zeller Advanced Sniper Rifle videos i been planning to do from me playing in Battlefield 2142. I love my Zeller

Nice :) But at what resolution do you play the game? Cuz i have the zeller-h, but I see a almost everything, but there's this red haze (like in the border of the scope) covering the whole scope :O :S. So I can't see a lot, your scope is really clear ^^

1680x1050 (widescreen) with most stuff set to either normal or high. I not currently ingame and haven't written my settings down but i will post them if you wish. I find it matters what map your playing as to the red haze, but i don't really notice it. There are sites out there providing ways to edit some of the game files to eliminate the haze but i believe that's cracking part of the game which i would never do.

One more question... I think my Zeller stopped working on multiplayer. I zoom in at full and shoot people in the heads, and it misses them. It happened 4-6 times in one match... You know of anything that could be wrong?

Sniping in 2142 isnt as easy as point at head and fire. You actually gotta take into account distance, angle of attack, movement and bullet drop(gravity), and on occasion the coriolis effect. You'll see the notches on the Zeller's target reticle, it's so you can do this compensation a bit easier. If you shooting a long distance you have to aim just slightly higher while if you're shooting someone on top of a high building you need to aim above them a lot (ie notches for guides) i hope that helps

I've just started to use the Zeller, I wonder if the limited clip capacity is really worth it. Isn't it an auto kill if it's a headshot with any sniper at any range? I do, though, like the Zeller. I go titan, first assualt, then Recon for the dirty in titan work, I got a triple kill with this weapon.

Well i run around with the Sniper Decoy dropped nearby and so i don't have trouble not being seen, just find a spot, see a guy and pick 'em off. I like it as it does have a bit more power behind it so if i miss their head and hit their body, if they're missing some health already i still 1 hit kill them. But like it's more just what you feel comfortable with, i'm used to the gun, i'm high up on the leaderboard with it, i enjoy using it, and i get many many kills with it. that's all that matters

From wat i've found it's 1 hit kill to the head at any range, 1 hit kill to back at close range or when they have on light armour. 2 shots will take out anyone granted you gotta make sure you hit them.
