One reason why I don't buy the theory that the earth was destroyed and then remade is that this world view would mean that there was death before Adam and Eve. The Bible teaches that death came about by the sin of Adam, not someone prior to him. As to the dinosaur issue, if this supposed previous world had been destroyed, all evidence of the dinosaurs would have been destroyed with it.

one minor correction. satan was sentenced to death prior to this earth age, and prior to adam and eve. Jesus was nailed to the cross, and in doing so he defeated death.

death is not symbolizing adam and eve. it's symbolizing satan.

You have to see this in the context and see if it makes sense. And in my opinion your translation doesn't. But this is an old mistakes (not to say lie). It began when people tried to adapt the bible to the theory of evolution in general; the so called Genesis gap theory. But you should trust God; if he says he made it in 6 days he means 6 days of 24 hours each. What? You think he couldn't? Think about it. this has nothing to do with evolution. when you understand the Bible's teachings of the 3 earth ages this will make sense.

genesis 1 isn't even about the planet earth. It is about the earth as defined in the bible and it is defined later in the chapter as Gods chosen people. It is about the creation of Gods chosen people.

While it is true that the Hebrew word “hayah” can be translated “became,” it is usually translated “was.” In fact, in the 4,900 times “hayah” occurs in the Old Testament, almost 98% are translated as “was.” Hebrew grammarians and linguists have almost uniformly rejected the translation “became” or “had become.” (this video is false) sorry dude :)

Second, There actually is an amazing creature today that shoots off an explosive blast at its attacker; the Bombadeer Beetle. One is so near to another, that no air can come between them.
