This is something we had never seen before we purchased this property. This is a video about Frost Flowers. The first morning I noticed them, I thought our yard had been TP'ed. I took some pictures and researched what they are. They seem to appear during nights where the temperature drops below 30 degrees early in the night. From what I gather, it is a naturally occurring phenomenon wherein the stalk of this particular plant via capillary action will extrude thin slivers of frozen water in the form of frost petals. Our property seems to be laden with them. Mowing the field just before the frost occurs makes them produce highly visible bouquets. It's was a beautiful surprise to find them. Each one is unique and they only stay for a little while. Be cool!
I get tons of these on my property too. I'd never seen them before I moved to Georgia.
