Heh, never thought to use the thing at the end of the string like that. I always just cut it off.

@CFHDAC33324 Bill Lawrence 500XL bridge pickup and Dimarzio Evolution neck pickup. and what do u mean by how i customized it? Fact: i have different pickups in my guitar now. u can see it on my newer utube channel. just click on this username. it'll take u to my new channel with my newer guitar content ;)

How did u customize that guitar like that? And what r those pickups?

Thanks dude! This was helpful! It has been way too long since I have changed my strings. This gave me exactly what I needed. Rock On!

You guys make to much work it's funny to watch, taking em all off is gonna take out your intonation and you floating guys are freaking out shoving something in there it's not that hard, do it one at time it makes life so much easier and faster lol..

@jpsguitarguy i like metallica TOO!! way more then this!!!

this song sucks

Hmm. I'm considering either a Schecter C1-FR or a ESP LTD deluxe. The Deluxe doesn't have this Floyd Rose shit, so I think I'm going to go with it. This looks way too tedious.

@KingOfShadows1500 of coures all this is kinda pointless if ur springs arent calibrated correctly for the gauge strings ur using. thats why its called a FLOATING tremolo. the strings pull one way and the springs in the back pull the other.
-
@KingOfShadows1500 here's the steps kinda simplified ;)
1.unscrew fine tuners all the way.
2. unlock nut lock.
3. take out old strings and put in new strings.
4. tighten/tune.
5. then lock nut lock.
6. finally fine tune with fine tuners.
Its that simple.!!
If u find ur self screwing in the fine tuners all the way and ur still not in tune. then u need to repeat steps 1-6. unscrew fine tuners all the way, unscrew nut lock, tune strings, etc. Ur basically stretching the strings out.
Question .. Do you loosen the strings too when you loosen the peg in the bridge to pull out the string ?

when i remove the strings and get ready to put in new ones, YES, i untwist the fine tuners. They must be all at the top. if they were at the bottom when u tune ur strings, they would have no where to go. if u find urself trying to tune ur string with them and it cant turn anymore, then u need to unlock the nut lock, retune the strings. then lock it and fine tune.

XD loved it lol the broken CD dude genius idea .... putting the strings backward.. ! no cutting and shit
xxfroobxx 3 years ago 2
well i do cut actally. but only the thin part. if u look at a fresh pair is the 6th, 5th and 4th strings, its actually two of them. one string wrapped around another. but the string in the middle sticks out a little near the end. that part is all i cut off. just a tiny bit
